Travel MRI Technologist
We are seeking a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI Tech) for an immediate travel opening in New Lenox, IL.
About the Role
This is a 13-week travel assignment with a 40-hour workweek. The successful candidate will be responsible for the use of magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
- Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment
- Assist radiologists with procedure performance
- Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and maintain accurate patient records
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- 1 year of experience as an MRI Tech
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging
- State-specific licensing when required
- A sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
You should also be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
