Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled CT Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Huntsville, Alabama. This is a 13-week opportunity with 40 hours per week and 8-hour night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
- Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
- Position patients appropriately for scanning specific areas of their bodies
- Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
- Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance visibility of internal organs and tissues
- Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
- FOLLOW SAFETY PROCEDURES WHEN WORKING WITH RADIATION
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
- 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
- ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
- State-specific licensing when required
- BLS certification
This is a travel assignment with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
