We are seeking a Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Monroe, Washington.
Job Summary
This 13-week assignment requires a CT Tech with 1 year of experience to work 36 hours per week, 12 hours a day. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating computed tomography equipment and ensuring accurate image capture for medical interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as needed
- Position patients correctly for scanning specific areas of their bodies
- Capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues using computerized tomography equipment
- Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance image visibility
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and accuracy
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow safety procedures when working with radiation
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience as a CT Tech
- BLS certification
- ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
- State-specific licensing when required
The ideal candidate will possess a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology, and be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.
