Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment in Independence, MO. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience and possess excellent patient care skills.
Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
- Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
- Position patients appropriately for scanning specific areas of their bodies
- Operate computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images
- Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance image visibility
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality
- FOLLOW safety procedures when working with radiation
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
- 1 year of experience as a CT Tech
- ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
- State-specific licensing when required
- BLS certification
- Able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean or stoop easily
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
