Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment in Santa Maria, California.
About the Job:
This 13-week travel assignment requires a US Tech with 1 year of experience who can work 40 hours per week, 8 hours a day. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ultrasound technology, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
- Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
- Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
- Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
- Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
- Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
- Maintain accurate patient records
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- BLS certification
- ARDMS National Certification
- State-specific licensing when required
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
Certifications:
- ARDMS (OB/GYN)
- Ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments
