Travel Ultrasound Technologist Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Gastonia, North Carolina.
Job Summary:
This is a unique opportunity to work as a US Tech in a dynamic healthcare setting. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for utilizing ultrasound machines to obtain high-quality images for medical interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate patients and their families regarding procedures performed
- Operate sonographic equipment to identify and observe areas of concern
- Prepare exam rooms and assist radiologists with ultrasound procedures and biopsies
- Report abnormalities requiring immediate attention to medical staff
- Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
- Conduct scan tests, write reports based on results, and maintain accurate patient records
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- BLS certification
- ARDMS National Certification (OB/GYN, RVT)
- State-specific licensing when required
- Able to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
