Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team in Falmouth, Massachusetts. This is a travel opportunity that requires the ability to operate a mammography unit and ensure that images are accurate and of high quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing mammography studies and maintaining production and quality of mammograms
- Confirming patient identification and reviewing imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as needed
- Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy work environment
- Developing mammograms, observing results, and retaking images as required
- Forwarding completed studies to radiologists for interpretation
- Understanding and using the McKesson PACS system
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should have at least 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist. You must also possess ARRT (M) National Certification with registration in mammography, BLS, and state-specific licensing when required. Additionally, you should be able to stand and walk for long periods and have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
