About the Role:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
- Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician, documenting patient findings and providing education and support to patients' families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting patient safety and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures and participate in discharge planning.
Requirements:
- 2 years of acute care experience, preferably in Medical-Surgical nursing.
- Current BLS certification and ability to obtain state-specific licenses and certifications as required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
