Description:
The Accounting Specialist will perform general accounting responsibilities that include accounts payable, billing, journal entries, reconciliations, and other duties to help maintain the company's financial records. The successful candidate will possess outstanding organization and listening skills, with strong attention to detail. Must possess the ability to perform detail-oriented work, manage multiple competing priorities, and work independently.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review and enter accounts payable invoices into accounting software system.
- Issue payments to vendors as approved. Answer questions from vendors and company managers by researching accounts.
- Review and enter daily revenue data into the accounting software system.
- Assist with the monthly customer billing process.
- Various month-end and year-end reconciliations and journal entries.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Understanding of basic accounting practices and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software, preferably NetSuite but not required.
Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree in accounting preferred; or equivalent work experience.
- Two or more years of related experience preferred.
