Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?

This position will work closely with the enterprise cybersecurity operations teams and external cybersecurity communities to help gather, analyze, and create intelligence products for internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate for this position is a highly skilled cybersecurity professional that is excited to help build and strengthen The Travelers Fusion Center by providing proactive cross-collaboration, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to create value for Travelers in a multi-disciplined team environment.

What Will You Do?

Continuously identifying value-add opportunities that would evolve cybersecurity, digital fraud, and Geo-political investigations.
Monitor and analyze data from a variety of sources, including social media, news, open-source intelligence, and internal databases.
Assess and triage potential threats and incidents, providing accurate and timely information to decision-makers.
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and communicate effectively to stakeholders will be integral to your success in this role.
Produce detailed intelligence reports and analytics to support decision-making by leadership and stakeholders across Travelers.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external communities to facilitate information sharing.
Participate in exercises and training sessions to improve overall readiness and response capabilities.
Research new products that support and enhance the fusion center capabilities. Implements with management review.
Support reviewing or identifying and responding to security events and escalating to management.
Consults with business peers to glean insights on how to enhance risk mitigation of cybersecurity related events.
Participate in cybersecurity and enterprise projects as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline preferred.

Experience creating and presenting intelligence reports to various stakeholders.

Experience in cybersecurity data analytics with an emphasis on drawing out insights from various Cybersecurity Operations data repositories.

Capable of working within an ambiguous and constantly changing environment.

Self-starter, able to find value-add activities and initiates without the need for direct oversight

Demonstrates sound analytic and diagnostic skills dealing with issues that are loosely defined and / or where information is available but must be further manipulated.

Once decisions are made, can follow and direct action to implement intended results.

Leadership :

Capable of supporting cross-functional stakeholders while driving cybersecurity and threat mitigation goals.

Responsibilities are assigned with some latitude for setting priorities and decision-making using established policies and procedures.

Fusion Center products and deliverables are reviewed with appropriate stakeholders and are part of a constant iterative process.

Planning and Project Management :

Works with the project manager in identifying those project tasks that are most important, establishes clear priorities and understands the larger picture.

Anticipates and effectively responds to changes in workload and resources.

What is a Must Have?

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Three years of work experience within Computer Science or a related field required.
