Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?
In-house insurance coverage senior counsel, providing high quality and actionable legal advice, counseling, and litigation strategy / management to our internal clients with respect to complex liability coverage matters and disputes. Researches and provides legal advice on a wide variety of complex insurance coverage and liability issues. Represents and / or participates on behalf of the Company in mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and other alternative dispute resolution forums. Directs and manages outside counsel with respect to coverage litigation involving the Company.

What Will You Do?
Provide prompt and actionable legal advice and other assistance to our clients with respect to complex liability coverage matters.
- Achieve desired results through careful and effective analysis, research, advocacy, collaboration and client partnership.
- Proactively identify and communicate risk to clients and provide recommendations on how to mitigate that risk.
- Approach disputes and issues creatively and strategically, with a relentless resolution focus.
- Consistently exhibit strong and persuasive communication skills.
- Provide training to clients on a wide range of insurance related topics.
- Value and develop true partnerships with clients and other colleagues.
- Develop and implement resolution strategies for coverage disputes and coverage litigation.
- Proactively manage outside coverage counsel and legal expenditures.
- Makes effective use of technology in the practice of law.
