Dog Boarder

Job Description:

We are looking for responsible, reliable, and experienced pet caregivers to provide overnight boarding for dogs in their own homes. As a Dog Boarder with Travelers Rest Pet Sitting, LLC, you will create a safe and welcoming space where dogs can feel at home while their owners travel. If you’re also interested in offering daycare, drop-in visits, in-home pet sitting, or dog walks, additional opportunities may be available.

Responsibilities:

• Provide overnight boarding services for dogs in your own home.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment that meets the needs of each dog.
• Follow owner-provided instructions regarding feeding, medication, and routines.
• Communicate regularly with pet owners by sending daily updates and photos.
• Ensure dogs receive adequate exercise, attention, and socialization during their stay.
• Keep your availability calendar updated for easy scheduling.
• Handle pets responsibly, providing a calm and structured environment to minimize stress.
• Optional: Offer additional pet care services such as drop-in visits, daycare, in-home pet sitting, or dog walks if interested.

Qualifications:

• A pet-friendly home with enough space to accommodate dogs comfortably.
• A secure yard or safe outdoor area for supervised playtime (preferred).
• Experience caring for dogs, including multiple breeds and temperaments.
• Ability to commit to weekends and holidays, as these are peak boarding times.
• Strong communication skills for client updates and scheduling.
• Pet first aid training is a plus. Not required.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per day

Experience:

• Pet sitting: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

Willingness to travel:
