Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?
The Manager of Business Systems Analysis oversees small to moderate-sized teams. This role involves tactical planning, resource management, and directing staff to develop, implement, and maintain large, complex systems or projects. Additionally, the Manager facilitates and contributes to the continuous improvement of business analysis, requirements management, and software development processes. The Manager also ensures the effective management of the CSS IA workflow.
What Will You Do?
  • Manage the tactical and operational plan for assigned business systems and projects.
  • Advocate for the effective use of technology to improve organizational processes.
  • Direct staff to achieve deliverables and manage all aspects of human resources.

Leadership:
  • Set and monitor team goals.
  • Balance competing objectives and priorities.
  • Engage with staff regularly and remove obstacles to their success.
  • Model team values and serve as a change agent.

Human Resources Management:
  • Understand staff responsibilities and development needs.
  • Balance workloads, supervise, coach, and mentor team members.
  • Match talents to tasks and create professional development programs.
  • Manage performance, recruit, and retain effective staff.
  • Recognize and respect workforce diversity.

Business Knowledge & Partnership:
  • Align tactical plans with National Accounts and Business Enterprise strategies.

Process and Best Practice:
  • Apply standard business analysis concepts and techniques.
  • Ensure adherence to Software Delivery Processes and Best Practices.

Planning and Project Management:
  • Partner with Program Management on roadmaps.
  • Manage resource demand and ensure appropriate staffing.
  • Create and apply right-sized BSA processes and methodologies.
  • Develop operational plans and guide resource estimation.

Financial Management:
  • Manage financial responsibilities for a small BSA team.

Other Duties:
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
  • Experience:
    • Five years in Business Systems or equivalent.
    • One year managing others or leading technical teams.
    • Bachelor's degree in business, MIS, or related field.
  • Skills:

    • Business Perspective (Advanced): Uses knowledge of internal and external factors impacting the property casualty industry to make informed decisions.
    • Technology (Intermediate): Maintains proficiency with evolving corporate and job-specific technology (e.g., hardware, software, business unit applications, and systems tools).
    • Conflict Management (Intermediate): Resolves conflicts collaboratively.
    • Relationship Management (Intermediate): Builds and maintains productive relationships and networks to meet goals.
    • Change Management / Resilience (Advanced): Stays focused and energized in the face of ambiguity, change, or strenuous demands.
    • Risk Taking (Advanced): Identifies, assesses, and manages risks intelligently to achieve objectives.

What is a Must Have?
  • Three years of experience in Business Systems or equivalent required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
