Medical Receptionist (TC) - Help Restore Sight!

NOTE: This position is full-time in our Traverse City office. Occasional travel to our Cadillac and Kalkaska offices may be required.

The following is required for this position:

• Phone Operator Experience (preferred, not required)
• Medical Receptionist Experience (preferred, not required)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Timeliness
• Organization skills
• Ability to learn new software
• Considerable attention to detail
• Ability to multitask
• A genuine interest in improving patient's quality of life

Some duties for this position include:

• Provide a live call atmosphere to meet patients' needs and direct them to the appropriate department during business hours
• Answer basic scheduling questions
• Perform other clerical duties as necessary
• Answer/Triage patient phone calls
• Verify and update patient demographics, HIPAA and insurance information
• Collect past due balances, co-pays and out-of-pocket charges as necessary
• Appointment scheduling
