Job Opportunity: Field Ecologist / Native Resource Technician
Location: St. Peter, MN Job Type: Full-time, Year-Round

As we continue to expand our services, we are seeking a skilled Field Ecologist/Native Resource Technician to join our team and contribute to meaningful conservation work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field assessments and surveys, including vegetation sampling, wildlife monitoring, and habitat evaluations.
- Assist in the implementation of ecological restoration projects, focusing on native plantings, invasive species control, and soil stabilization.
- Collect and analyze environmental data, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation of field activities.
- Collaborate with project managers, landowners, and stakeholders to develop and implement best management practices for habitat restoration and conservation.
- Support research efforts by tracking project progress and providing regular updates to the team and clients.
- Participate in environmental compliance activities, ensuring that all projects meet regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition and ready for fieldwork.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2 years of experience in field ecology, native habitat restoration, or related environmental work.
- Strong knowledge of native plant species, ecosystems, and ecological restoration practices.
- Experience with ecological fieldwork, including vegetation and wildlife monitoring techniques.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and best management practices.
- Ability to work in diverse field conditions, including inclement weather, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to collect and analyze data accurately.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites.
