Medical Office Receptionist (BILINGUAL A PLUS!) -
Traverse Health is an integrative chiropractic practice emphasizing Back and Neck pain and Wellness. Our office is in need of a reliable Receptionist/ Assistant who can provide first-class service to our patients. You’ll be responsible for welcoming patients, scheduling appointments and working closely with our healthcare staff to take patient histories, perform physiotherapy modalities, and help with examinations. Jobseekers should have great communication skills to build a great rapport with patients.
We are looking for a Medical Office Receptionist - with the ability to think creatively, communicate effectively, problem solve, and the ability to work within and help to build an effective healthcare team as we grow.
This person will be responsible for daily reception and checkout desk operations in a growing practice. You must be able to communicate clearly and cheerfully, present yourself in a professional manner, be a quick learner, and be willing to jump in when needed to assist others.
This individual must have the ability to work efficiently; possessing well-developed organizational and interpersonal skills.
Prior Medical Office Experience is a PLUS. Medical terminology is an important skill.

Responsibilities:
Make sure examination rooms are ready for patients by ensuring they’re well-stocked and at a comfortable temperature and that all equipment is sterilized
Put together insurance forms, noting patient symptoms, diagnoses, test results, treatment instructions, and prescriptions in the patient records
Assist healthcare staff rooming patients.
Greet patients, handle telephone calls, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries regarding treatment or prescription refills to make sure each patient has a great experience in our office
Speak with the patient about the reason for their visit and record their personal information and medical history to share with the healthcare staff
Take the patient’s vital signs including their pulse, body temperature, respiration rate, and blood pressure and record it in their chart.
***RE-ACTIVATION AND CALLING LEADS TO FOLLOW-UP IS A MUST! You must demonstrate that you are good at this.
We use social media, so you must be comfortable interacting on social media with our clinic page/articles
- You will learn physical therapy modalities include e-stim, ultrasound, deep tissue laser massage, heat/ice therapy, mobility training, kinesiotaping, and more
- You may also be taught and demonstrate rehabilitative exercises and will get hands-on experience with patients
Qualifications:
Ability use a computer to complete administrative tasks
High school graduate or has GED
Prior experience as in a medical assisting role performing administrative duties or similar position in a healthcare work environment is preferred, but will train the right person,
Great communication and customer service skills
CLINIC HOURS ARE 8:00am-6pm Monday-Thurs, part time shifts will be determined by your availability.
