Job Summary
Hand Surgery office is seeking a Basic X-Ray Technician / MA to join our team! As a n X-Ray Technician / MA, you will be preparing patients for their X-Rays. You will also be assisting the physician with rooming patients and do patient intakes, removing casts & splints and other duties as dictated by the work load. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, prior experience working in an orthopedic office and have excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Get to know patients to understand their medical needs and concerns, building and maintaining connections
Position equipment for X-Rays, adjust immobilization devices, move equipment, and adjust exposure if necessary to get the proper results.
Thoroughly document all patient services within a patient’s chart
Follow all required safety regulations, including wearing appropriate safety gear, to maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification required
Licensed by the State of Florida in Basic X-Ray or Advanced Radiological technologist
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with medical charting desired
Strong attention to detail
