The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for supporting integrated supply planning, inventory and logistics activities across the organization. This individual will focus on data, reporting, analysis, and storytelling. This role is essential in analyzing supply chain data, forecasting inventory needs, and supporting logistics and transportation functions. The ideal candidate will dedicate more than 50% of their time to supporting logistics and transportation while also playing a key role in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and managing aged inventory. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, a talent for storytelling with data, and an understanding of supply planning specific to apparel and footwear.
JOB OVERVIEW

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities within the apparel and footwear industry.
- Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate insights effectively to key stakeholders.
- Utilize data storytelling techniques to present analysis results in a clear and impactful manner.
Supply Planning, Inventory Forecasting & S&OP Support:
- Assist in developing supply plans and inventory forecasts tailored to the unique demands of the apparel and footwear sector.
- Collaborate on the S&OP process to align supply chain activities with sales and operational goals.
- Support aged inventory management by analyzing stock levels, identifying slow-moving items, and recommending strategies for inventory optimization.
Logistics & Transportation Support:
- Spend over 50% of time supporting the logistics and transportation team to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods, specifically within the apparel and footwear supply chain.
- Coordinate with transportation providers to optimize routes, monitor spending, and resolve logistical challenges.
- Analyze logistics performance and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with purchasing, sourcing, and product development to ensure alignment in supply chain activities, especially for seasonal and fashion-driven products.
- Participate in supply chain planning meetings and contribute to the development of strategic initiatives.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement within the supply chain processes and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices specific to apparel and footwear, bringing new ideas and innovations to the team.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Power Query, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python) and ERP systems.
- APICS/CPIM is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and storytelling abilities, with a talent for presenting data in a clear and engaging manner.
- Solid understanding of supply chain concepts, including inventory management, demand forecasting, S&OP processes, and aged inventory management.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with logistics and transportation management systems is a plus.
- Deadline-driven with a strong sense of urgency
- Strong quantitative skills with the ability to analyze data / detail
- Strong planning and communication skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
4 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or transportation support, preferably within the apparel and footwear industry.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable)
Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.
Extensive use of office equipment to include computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business-related machines and software.
*this is a hybrid role with expectations of being onsite at TravisMathew HQ in Huntington Beach, CA 2 - 3 days a week*
