Position Summary
The primary duty of the Traffic Control Supervisor is to coordinate and inspect traffic control set-ups for conformance with approved traffic control plans, MUTCD guidelines and local entity requirements. Also conducts pre-worksite inspections to provide necessary information to design Traffic Control Plans, and attends or conducts jobsite meetings with contractors and engineers to ensure that the traffic control system provided is meeting the customer’s needs. Starting at $23 an hour, based on experience.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Inspect, maintain, fuel and stock truck
• Must be capable of loading and unloading truck independently
• Perform required paperwork and jobsite documentation
• Supervise/assist laborer/flagger in traffic control responsibilities
• Safely travel between projects and between yard and projects
• Coordinate assignments with all divisions/contractors
• Ability to read maps and traffic control plans
• Must possess good communication skills and be able to talk with customers and engineers in a professional manner
• Full compliance with all safety initiatives
• Adhere to all Company policies and procedures

Requirements
• High School Diploma; or up to 2 years (4000 hours) of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license, a CDL may be required
• Certification at the traffic control supervisor level by ATSSA or CCA
• Flagger certification as a requirement of ATSSA certification
• 2 years of experience working in a construction environment Preferred
