Job Description | ||||||||||
Performs technical work in support of Survivability/Lethality testing. Duties and Responsibilities * Applies established methods, procedures, and techniques relative to vulnerability testing of vehicles and their subsystems and lethality testing of munitions and weapon systems. * Performs test setup, test execution, test teardown, test item disposition, and facility operation. * Completes tasks that relate to assembly/construction/setup of targets, target stands, arenas, soil test pits, and witness packs. * Installation of armors, stowage, fire suppression, or basic instrumentation on target vehicles. * Pre-post shot checks of vehicles. * Operation and maintenance of specialized facility equipment such as range fire suppression systems, air filtration systems, oil/water separators, fireball generator, soil density and moisture gauges, and ballistic sled tracks. * Transport of equipment, stowage, and ammunition to/around the test site. * Disassembly/demilitarization of targets. * Operation of tools, vehicles, equipment, and weapons. * Recording of test data; small arms ammunition loading. * Supports operations at various Survivability/Lethality Directorate test ranges or may be assigned to a specific test facility (i.e., AA-5, Fords Farm, etc.). |
