Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across all raw materials and purchased finished goods categories including plastic sheet (PET, PP, OPS), PET resin (virgin & PCR), corrugated, & purchased FG packaging, etc.
Manage outsource function providers including scrap grinding, scrap sales, tolling manufacturing, etc.
Manage and support corporate oversight for purchases across multiple expense categories and creates vision for company, as well as, driving purchasing synergies to achieve cost savings across product lines
Lead negotiator on purchase agreements and vendor contracts with a bias for achievement of quality, delivery, and cost containment and process improvements
Drive standardization of process and procedures, transaction methods with suppliers, supplier selection processes / ongoing supplier management, data collection, negotiation, performance improvement, cost reduction and communication strategies
Participate in existing and new product planning processes to assure timely acquisition of materials to support product launches and plant equipment requirements
Develop and maintain systematic, analytical, and results-based methods for monitoring supplier performance and communicate these results for corrective action to be taken where necessary to both supplier and end users
Develop and maintain target inventory levels by facility and purchase category through coordination with sales and operations teams (incl. periodic review of slow moving & obsolete inventory)
Communicate material positive and negative financial and operational aspects of the business to leadership team and equity sponsor in real-time.
Evaluates commodity price changes and supply based on key financial, operational and strategic attributes
Maintain a reporting cadence of appropriate business performance metrics including status of cost reduction targets, spend/cost per unit by category & supplier, etc.
Manage vendor contract process. Work with the commercial group to draft and execute NDAs, and supply contracts. Manage and communicate commitments to the internal organization

BA/BS in supply chain, materials management, purchasing or business administration and/or MBA are strongly preferred.
Minimum of 8 years in Procurement, resin related purchasing and management of a team preferred
Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) or Certified Professional in Supply Chain (CPSM) is a plus
Understanding of GFSI Food Safety requirements for Suppliers
Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management; formal Negotiations training desired
Knowledge of automated systems including ERP and CRM tools A can-do positive attitude
Prior experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
