Position Summary
Record and maintain financial transactions, review financial data for completeness and accuracy, prepare and generate reports utilizing specialized software, spreadsheets, and other tools used to record and manage data.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
· Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and maintain support schedules
· Review and analyze income statement accounts, job cost reports, and provide feedback to project teams and management
· Reconcile intercompany transactions between related entities
· Perform bank reconciliations
· Timely preparation of financials for assigned Traylor Construction Group business units and/or joint ventures
· Work with project teams to provide excellent service with financial statement and accounting related inquiries
· Support credit card platform management
· Assist Treasury with banking activities
· Process cash receipts
· Support AP and AR with sales tax questions
· Assist in forecasting cashflow
· Assist with equipment and fixed asset accounting
· Maintain system records and tracking of fixed assets
· Perform additional duties as directed by the Accounting Supervisor
· Assistance with continuous improvement efforts
· Minimal travel as required to attend, but not limited to, meetings, job site visits, training, etc.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
· Must be highly organized; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
· Adaptable, flexible team player. Possess a positive, can-do attitude when working with team and employees.
· Strong communication (verbal and written), problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills
· Must have a philosophy that is consistent with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of the organization
· Ability to work independently with little supervision required
· Excellent ability to prioritize, and stay organized in a busy, fast-growth environment
· Exhibit extraordinary discretion, confidentiality, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with all levels of an organization both internally and externally
· Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is essential
