About the Position
As a Code Enforcement Inspector with TRB and Associates, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with local agency regulations and ordinances. This position offers exceptional growth opportunities for the right individual.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct field investigations; inspect properties for violations; issue and post warning notices, notices of violation, corrective notices, orders to comply, and related documentation for code violations.
- Prepare written reports, memos, and correspondence related to enforcement activities.
- Serve as a resource to other agency departments, divisions, the general public, and outside agencies in the enforcement of zoning regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Completion of the 12th grade or GED certificate.
- At least one (1) year experience providing code enforcement services in a municipal or government setting or equivalent function.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Basic understanding of current construction regulations as applicable.
- Working knowledge of office computer software (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
