We’re on the lookout for a Cloud Systems Architect to lead the development of future-proof backend systems for our cloud-based web and mobile platforms. This role is perfect for someone who’s ready to design, build, and scale backend infrastructure with a focus on computer vision integration .
Tasks
Architect & Build : Lead the design of multi-tenant backend systems with authentication, billing, and database management.
Develop & Integrate : Create and optimize RESTful APIs to enable seamless integration with mobile and web applications.
Drive Innovation : Build telemetry tools for system performance insights and content usage analysis.
Vision Tech Integration : Connect backend services to a cloud-based computer vision system for enhanced content registration and usage tracking.
Scale Infrastructure : Leverage GCP, Firebase, Docker, and Kubernetes to power scalable, high-availability applications.
CI / CD Champion : Lead CI / CD implementation with tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GCP workflows.
System Monitoring : Establish real-time performance monitoring for maximum uptime and reliability.
Mentorship & Leadership : Share your knowledge with junior engineers and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or relevant field) OR equivalent hands-on experience.
Backend Mastery : 5 years of experience in backend development, with a focus on scalable, multi-tenant systems.
Tech Toolkit :
Languages & Frameworks : Node.js, Express.js, TypeScript, React, JavaScript, MUI CSS.
Cloud Platforms : GCP, Firebase, MySQL.
Dev Tools : Git, Docker, Kubernetes, CI / CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GCP CI / CD).
API Mastery : Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs for high-transaction environments.
Modular Architecture : Experience building dependency-injected, testable, and modular applications.
CI / CD Automation : Write unit and integration tests and automate them within CI / CD pipelines.
Cloud-Ready : Real-world experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) .
Monitoring Expert : Implement uptime and performance monitoring for large-scale systems.
Leadership : Demonstrated ability to mentor, guide, and inspire teams to build exceptional products.
Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points!)
NoSQL Knowledge : Experience with NoSQL databases (like MongoDB) is a big plus.
Computer Vision / AI : Familiarity with image recognition, object detection, or ML-based solutions .
Tools of the Trade : Experience with Asana or other collaboration / project management tools.
