Overview

We are currently seeking full-time Construction Inspectors (NICET Level II and III) for various NYS Thruway Authority highway and bridge construction and rehabilitation projects. Projects are located in Rochester and Syracuse, NY areas. The assignments are scheduled to start early spring 2025.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections to ensure the work performed by the Contractor meets the contract documents
• Perform field material tests
• Take field measurements, collect field data and prepare DWRs as per MURK requirements
  
  

Qualifications

• Min. 1-year (Level I) or 3-year (level II) experience working as an Inspector on NYSDOT or NYS Thruway highway and/or bridge projects
• Valid NICET-II or Nicet-III certification or degree equivalency required (BS in Civil Engineering or similar field)
• SiteManager experience preferred
• Valid ACI certification required
• Formal training in Work Zone Traffic Control (WZTC) is desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be familiar with the safety procedures and practices related to construction sites
• Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
• Night Shift and/or Weekend work availability required.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $30.00 - USD $50.00 /Hr.
