Overview :

The Design Manager will play a critical role in shaping the aesthetics, functionality, and passenger experience of LAX facilities. This position involves overseeing architectural design efforts for various airport projects. As a Design Manager, youll have the opportunity to leave your mark on iconic structures that define the airport landscape.

Responsibilities :

Lead architectural design teams in creating innovative and functional solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors.
Develop design concepts, plans, and specifications.
Ensure compliance with safety, accessibility, and regulatory standards.
Manage project budgets and schedules.
Review and approve design submittals.
Coordinate with clients / owners and other consultants.
Provide input on material selection , sustainability, and aesthetics.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Bachelors Degree in Architecture , Engineering, or other related technical field required ; Masters Degree preferred.

Professionally Licensed Architect and / or Engineer preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing the design of large complex building projects, utilities, and infrastructure improvements. Design management of aviation improvements experience preferred.

Proficiency in design software such as Revit and SketchUp.

Strong creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation : In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation : Employee may be eligible for participation in the Companys annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
