TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Energy Efficiency Outreach Intern for our Summer 2025 intern program. This is a paid full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June through August 2025 (flexible). This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists.
Responsibilities
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Energy Efficiency Outreach Intern for our Summer 2025 intern program. This is a paid full-time position. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists.
Responsibilities
- Our Advanced Energy Interns:
- Support various project tasks including regulatory requirements/review estimates, research, procurement support, etc.
- Attend in-person staffing dehumidifier and air conditioning turn-in events
- Interact with the general public, utility Sponsors, local state and municipal staff and politicians.
- Research new products and opportunities to expand out SOW.
- Perform data entry, data management, data evaluation, and data present
- Support the preparation of reports, plans and specifications for client
- Support market research, audits, quality controls, etc
- Support for feasibility studies and designs for energy storage and microgrids if needed
- Will be supported by leaders, mentors and teammates
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary
- Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Energy, Sustainability or related field
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more
- Available to work on the weekends
- Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, detail orientated person
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow
