JOB SUMMARY
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer service by identifying new sales opportunities and building strong client relationships. This role involves conducting in-person meetings, understanding customer needs, and providing customized HVAC/R solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in HVAC/R sales, excellent communication skills, and a results-driven mindset. Working independently in the field, the representative will collaborate with the inside sales team to achieve revenue targets and exceed sales goals.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Meet with contractors and engineers to promote our manufacturing lines.
- Present HVAC/R products, services, and customized solutions to meet wholesaler needs.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and potential customers to drive long-term business growth.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to boost brand visibility and generate new business opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, product innovations, and competitor activities.
- Identify and escalate urgent issues to the appropriate teams or leadership for timely resolution.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support company objectives.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven success as an outside sales representative, preferably in HVAC/R or a related industry.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within the assigned territory.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Writing, typing, reading, speaking, hearing, seeing, sitting, bending, reaching, lifting up to 25 lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This is a field-based role that requires frequent travel within the assigned territory (Hawaiian Islands and Guam) to meet with clients, attend industry events, and conduct site visits.
- Must be comfortable driving for extended periods and managing a flexible schedule based on customer needs.
- Work is performed in a variety of environments, including client offices, job sites, warehouses, and outdoor locations.
- May require occasional evening or weekend meetings, trade shows, or networking events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
