About the Role
Our client is looking for a Controls Service Specialist to support and maintain control systems for multiple clients. This role ensures system efficiency, handles upgrades, and provides technical assistance. You’ll also support project teams designing and implementing building automation systems.
What You’ll Do
Service & Support
- Maintain and update control systems to ensure peak performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues quickly
- Monitor service channels (phone, email, chat, ticketing) and respond to incidents
- Track system performance and identify areas for improvement
- Provide technical support and assist with escalated issues
- Collaborate with teams to resolve critical incidents
System Design & Configuration
- Assist in system design and customer review meetings
- Configure control systems, user interfaces, and networks
- Develop and update system documentation
- Support customer demonstrations and acceptance testing
Onsite System Startup
- Install software and configure systems at customer sites
- Perform testing, calibration, and troubleshooting
- Assist in system commissioning and training for end users
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in service and support for control systems
- Associate’s degree in mechanical/electrical technology or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of control system platforms such as Niagara N4, Distech, Johnson Controls, Siemens, or Rockwell
- Familiarity with scripting languages (VBA, Python) and tools like Kepware OPC, ThinManager, and VMware
- Understanding of HVAC systems, instrumentation, and control valves (preferred)
Additional Details
- Travel required for system installations and support
- Must be open to shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays
