Industrial Panel Technician
The Industrial Panel Technician is responsible for assembling and wiring electrical control panels by reading and interpreting schematics. This role involves working with wiring, switches, cables, and mechanical components to construct panel units for electrical equipment. Using tools such as soldering irons, the technician ensures accurate and safe assembly of electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and wire electrical control panels.
- Complete point-to-point wiring and install electronic and electromechanical components.
- Work from schematics, bills of material, and written / verbal instructions.
- Determine methods and sequences of assembly operations as needed.
- Utilize small hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, soldering irons).
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Communicate effectively with Quality Engineers, Supervisors, and customers.
- Use safety equipment and protective devices.
- Perform basic computer tasks.
