What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Project Management Lead position at TRC Talent Solutions?
TRC's client is a leader in mechanical contracting, engineering, design, and construction looking for a Mechanical Project Manager on a full-time, direct hire basis in the Springfield, MA or East Lyme, CT areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead and manage mechanical design build projects. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, purchase orders, contracts / documentation, etc.; oversee and coordinate work of contractors, subcontractors, and construction teams.
- Collaborate with various internal teams and external parties throughout the entire project.
- Regularly visit client project sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications. Conduct inspections ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards; prepare and obtain necessary permits and regulatory approvals.
- Communicate project updates, changes, and progress to stakeholders; facilitate project meetings ensuring clear and effective communication with all parties.
- Track project expenses and ensure adherence to project budgets; identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and increased efficiency.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones; address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise.
- Oversee pre-construction, construction, and project closeout processes, including final inspections and documentation.
- Manage, train, and develop Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.
