TRC Talent seeks a long-term contract Inspector, NDT UT in the San Jose area for a leading avionics manufacturer.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and calibrate nondestructive testing (NDT) equipment to ensure accurate inspections.
  • Perform NDT inspections to assess product quality and detect defects using various methodologies.
  • Develop and implement testing techniques tailored to the objects under inspection.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications and evaluate results effectively.
  • Compile detailed test reports and distribute findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct general aircraft inspections as well as specialized composite ultrasonic testing.

Qualifications

Required :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
  • Ability to achieve NDT Level II Certification in ultrasonic testing (UT).
  • Proven experience with composite bond line inspections.
  • Current certifications in Electromagnetic Testing (ET) and Liquid Penetrant Inspection (PT) with the ability to certify to processes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in performing NDT tasks and interpreting inspection results.
  • Strong ability to write detailed NDT inspection reports.
  • Experience using MES / SAP systems to complete inspection plans electronically.
  • Work experience in manufacturing environments within aerospace or other highly regulated industries.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

    • Bonus :

  • Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAI) and familiarity with relevant tools.
  • Proficiency in working with Model-Based Definition (MBD) or fully dimensional models.
