What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Designer position at TRC Talent Solutions?
TRC's client is a national manufacturer within the residential construction industry looking for a Residential Drafter / Designer to join their team in the Rocky Mount, NC area on a full-time, direct hire basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Complete preliminary blueprints, final blueprints, and other related documents in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure product designs meet required safety and structural standards.
Cross-collaborate with other departments within the company to coordinate designs according to the needs of the customer.
Interact with 3rd party structural engineering firms as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS :
Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
4 years of drafting experience with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other 3D computer drafting / modeling software
Proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, etc.)
Exceptional work ethic and communication skills with ability to work effectively in both independent and collaborative team-based environments
Knowledge of residential building codes with prior experience in residential construction preferred
