What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer, Grounds Maintenance - El Paso Ports of Entry position at TRDI?
Hourly Rate: $17.20
The Grounds Laborer will perform landscaping duties and must be comfortable working outdoors. Must be able to stand throughout the day holding weed eater or edger. Must have a valid clean drivers license.
Must be able to secure a positive Background from the Department of General Services Admin.
Performs required tasks assigned by Supervisor/ Project Manager. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. Must have a valid Driver's License.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include over-time, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Power washing street lanes, walkways and walls with a power washer.
- Maintain grounds of industrial, commercial or public property such as buildings, camp and picnic grounds, parks, playgrounds, greenhouses and athletic fields.
- Performing one or more of the following tasks: cut grass, using walking or riding mower, trim/edges grass around walks, flowerbeds, as well as using a weed-eater. Trims hedge, prunes shrubs/hedges using trimmers, clippers and saws.
- Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Picks up leaves, litter, and debris. Sweeps/wipes, cleans office, workshop and restrooms.
- Assist in repair of roads, walks, buildings, and mechanical equipment, and may clean comfort stations, offices, workshop areas, and parking lots by sweeping, washing, mopping and polishing.
- Must be able to operate ground maintenance equipment such as power washer, blowers, mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment to including industrial machinery.
- May perform other duties as directed by Project Manager.
