Tread Corporation is a manufacturer of bulk explosive handling equipment focused on servicing the mining industry worldwide. Corporate offices and manufacturing facilities are located in Roanoke, Virginia. Product lines include bulk trucks, emulsion and mix plants, explosives storage, control systems, and aftermarket parts.
Tread is currently seeking energetic, team oriented candidates for our Press Brake position.
DESCRIPTION
Machine operator is responsible for safe operation of our new press brake. Must be capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Press Brake
o Ability to set up and run CNC press brake
o Ability to identify different thickness and grade material to ensure proper die set up
o Capable use of measurement devices such as tape measures, calipers, angle finders
o Safe operation of overhead crane to move material from pallets to the press brake table
o Properly transact work orders to capture labor and costs
o Maintains a clean and safe work environment for self and coworkers

EDUCATION and SKILLS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of relative experience operating manufacturing blanking equipment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Must be physically able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl and climb

Reports to the Fabrication Supervisor
Assisted by Fabrication Group Lead
No Direct Reports
1st Shift 5:45am-4:15pm Monday-Thursday with occasion OT Fridays 5:45am-11am
