POSITION SUMMARY:
The Application Support Analyst-II works under the direction of the Systems team lead and works directly with IT, key Business Partners, and departments across the company to support the operation, installation/configuration, and maintenance of technical and functional aspects of various applications while providing effective client relationship management.
This includes:
- Assist management in new projects for the supported systems by gathering requirements, implementing the project, and monitoring project progress.
- Work with end users on a regular basis to address technical issues, provide a source of knowledge of each system’s capabilities, and provide feedback for the vendors on system use.
- Evaluating user requests for new or modified programs to determine feasibility, cost, time requirements, and compatibility with existing systems and capabilities
This individual will also participate in new projects for the system/interfaces by gathering requirements and executing projects with the IT team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Application Configuration and Support
- Provide technical analysis, maintenance, and support for assigned systems and applications
- Manage life cycle for supported applications
- Perform system upgrades - planning, work estimation, resource allocation and execution
- Develop a working knowledge of the operational area being supported
- Work with business owners for system optimization and enhancements
- Maintain documentation for First Level of Support, Disaster Recovery, and Change Management and other system support requirements
- Work with business users and external business partners to understand their needs and translates business requirements into solutions
- Participate in the evaluation, implementation, and deployment of emerging technology
- Collaboratively troubleshoot technical and performance issues
- Client Relationship Management
- Manage and resolve client issues around assigned applications
- Work as part of a team to achieve service goals (SLAs)
- Build partnerships with IT and Business teams
- Other Duties
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies
- Collaborate with other team members and the broader IT team on project goals
- Performs other activities, duties and assignments as needed or requested
- Eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4-8 years’ insurance industry experience working with transactional systems (policy and/or claims management)
- Insurance industry knowledge required
- Knowledge of transactional systems required
- General Liability insurance knowledge preferred
- Worker’s Compensation insurance knowledge required
- ISO forms knowledge required
- Advanced skills in querying (T-SQL) against complex data systems preferred
- Crystal Reports knowledge preferred
- Visual Studio knowledge preferred
- Project management experience preferred
Salary : $75,000 - $94,000
