Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. This role involves assisting classroom teacher with prepartions, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our care.
Responsibilities
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and respect among students.
- Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring all children are engaged and participating.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Provide individualized support for children with special needs or developmental challenges, including those on the autism spectrum.
- Supervise children during activities to ensure safety and adherence to classroom rules.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational program that meets the needs of all students.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in preschool education.
- Experience working with toddlers and preschool-aged children, including those with special needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior among young learners.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate math concepts and other foundational skills for preschoolers.
- A genuine love for teaching and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of young children.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.50 - $13.50 per hour
