REPORTS TO: Buffet Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for coordinating entire station and communicating with supervisor on duty.
- To provide a dining experience that meets or exceeds guest expectations.
- Observes diners to ensure that guests are satisfied with the food and service.
- Responds to additional requests and determine when the meal is completed.
- Rebuses tables and refills drinks. Completes side work duties.
- Wishes the guest good luck.
- Obtains assigned service area from supervisor on duty at start of shift and sets up bus station.
- Greets guests and answers questions regarding food, beverages, and service.
- Takes beverage orders from guest, either written or memorized.
- Coordinates entire station to ensure guest satisfaction with the food and service.
- Observes guest to ensure that the food and service meets with guest satisfaction. Respond to any additional request. Refills drink orders and pre-buses the table.
- Leaves the guest with a good salutation.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
High school graduate or GED equivalent. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary languages of the work location. Knowledge of the sequence of service and buffet procedures, generally involving one year minimum, as a bus person. Must be customer orientated.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to stand and be upwardly mobile for periods of up to four hours in length. Must have good sense of balance, be able to bend and kneel and have the ability to lift bus pans and trays frequently weighing up to 25 pounds. The following activities are normally required to perform these functions: stand, walk, bend, reach, read, write, eye to hand coordination, depth perception, effective verbal communication, strong math skills, excellent organizational skills.
