REPORTS TO: Slot Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report to work as scheduled.
- Present a neat and well-groomed image to our guests and fellow crewmembers, as per company guidelines.
- Expected to keep abreast of all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Must ensure general security of the floor and report any suspicious activity to your Floor Supervisor.
- Must ensure security and safety of equipment and report any dangerous conditions to the Floor Supervisor.
- Expected to handle money transactions accurately and all transactions should be done using Slot Dept. money handling techniques.
- Generate and pay jackpot up to designated limit as stated in the Slot department’s policies and procedures.
- Will verify accuracy of jackpots paid to guests.
- Ensure the slot floor is always clean, tidy and inviting to our guests.
- Completes all required paperwork completely and accurately according to slot policy.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of machine operation, malfunctions and codes.
- Serve and assist guests as efficiently as possible in the event of a minor malfunction of a machine.
- Undertake limited technical duties under supervision.
- Ensure optimum slot machine operation and minimal machine down time by reporting any malfunction to a Supervisor.
- Responsible and accountable for all keys issued to him/her while on duty.
- Responsible and accountable for radio equipment issued to him/her while on duty.
- Must not carry out major technical repairs.
- Have a complete knowledge of all facilities that are available to guests.
- At all times Floorpersons must be polite and pay attention to guest needs.
- Must create a friendly, helpful and welcoming atmosphere by facial expression, tone of voice and greeting.
- Promptly answer any calls for assistance from guests and assist them in any way possible relating to the playing of machines.
- Will initially attend to floor disputes or complaints diplomatically and call the Supervisor or Manager.
- Establishes close contact with good slot players and treatment policies consistent with their play.
- Be trained and regularly tested on Title 31 regulations to enforce and monitor all activities covered by these regulations.
- Other tasks as requested by management.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Math skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
LICENSE / PERMIT REQUIREMENTS: Must have or be able to obtain a MS Gaming Commission badge.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Stand, walk, lift, bend and reach.
- Read, write, eye to hand coordination and depth perception.
- Effective verbal communication.
- Teamwork.
HAZARDS:
- Standing and walking almost entire shift.
- Exposure to second hand smoke.
- High noise level.
