Job Summary
Treasure Island Resort Rentals is seeking a qualified Guest Service Agent with strong interpersonal and administrative skills to join our hospitality team.
The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable experience. In this role you'll: assist in the booking and guest services of all resort inquiries and reservations; represent the resort to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's stay; and determine a guest's reservation status and identifies how long the guest will stay. Previous front office/customer service experience preferred.
Duties ·
- Must be sales minded. Present options and alternatives to guests and offer help in making choices.
- Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the resort.
- Welcome guests upon arrival and provide a warm, friendly check-in experience.
- Take same day reservations and future reservations when necessary.
- Assist with cancellations where needed and according to procedures.
- Register guests and assign rooms. Accommodate special requests whenever possible.
- Assist in preregistration and blocking of rooms for reservations.
- Adhere to proper credit and cash handling policies and procedures.
- Understand room status and room status tracking.
- Know room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates
- Coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department by notification housekeeping of all check outs, late checkouts, early check-ins, special requests, and day use rooms.
- Perform cashier related functions, counting the drawer and being able to identify and fix when it is wrong
- Use proper telephone etiquette.
- Is aware of daily activities and meetings taking place at the resort and be willing to help with activities when needed.
- Attend department meetings
- Follow all safety and emergency procedures and accident prevention policies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area.
- Understand that business demands sometimes make it necessary to move employees from their accustomed shift to other shifts.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel management or guest services is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Must be fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with guests and colleagues alike.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
