What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auction Staff position at Treasure Trove Auctions?
The Treasure Trove Auction Staff is responsible for inventory management including sorting, labeling, categorizing, and organizing auction memorabilia. This Auction Staff will be responsible for packing items, photographing, cataloguing, and researching auction items. This person will maintain the suction house workspace and assist in item handling and storage.
General Duties/Key Responsibilities:
· Inventory Management including sorting, labeling, maintaining inventory records, organizing, and categorizing items.
· Provides support to other team members during Auctions.
· Auction setup and daily operations tasks; moving and arranging new inventory, preparing previews and reports of said inventory.
· Follow company objectives as directed by the supervisors and managers.
·General Logistics; organization and maintaining auction house workspace. Assisting with item handling and storage.
· Packing – packing items securely and ensuring optimal shipping safety.
· Follow all company processes and procedures.
· Photography and Cataloging – taking high-quality photos, researching items, writing descriptions tailored to specific demographics, entering details into the auction system.
· Bidder customer service. Assisting bidders when necessary
· Social media and Content Creation – assisting in photographing, filming, and writing engaging content for auction promotions, social media, and marketing materials
·Technical and customer support – responding to inquiries, assisting clients with item pickup when necessary.
Role Requirements:
· Previous experience in an Auction House is preferred but not required.
· Flexibility in work schedule reflecting the needs and patterns of the business.
·Communication skills, they communicate well in person, on the phone, or by email with staff and customers.
· Knowledge of computer systems, auction programs are preferred but not required.
· Must be able to lift 50lbs regularly. Must be able to bend, squat, turn, and work on your feet for up to 8 hours a day.
· Must be able to work under pressure and handle high peak auction days.day!
