Position Overview: As an Electrical Foreman at Treasure Valley Electric, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the daily operations of electrical projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with electrical codes. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will supervise and direct a team of electricians, ensuring they follow all project plans and timelines. You'll be instrumental in troubleshooting electrical systems, providing technical expertise, and mentoring apprentices. Your leadership will drive the execution of high-quality work and maintain our reputation for precision and safety.
Compensation: $45-$55 per hour, depending on experience
Work Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 am - 5:00 pm, with some overtime possibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage electrical teams on commercial projects from start to finish.
- Ensure all electrical work is performed to code, with high standards of quality and safety.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve complex issues quickly.
- Provide direction, mentorship, and training to apprentices and journeyman electricians.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project progress and completion.
- Perform regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project managers to meet project deadlines and specifications.
- Lead by example to promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of electrical experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Journeyman's Electrical License required.
- OSHA 30 Hour Construction Certificate or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and technical skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Must have a valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
- Must have your own hand tools.
