What are the responsibilities and job description for the EGYM Health Coach - Downtown Boise YMCA position at Treasure Valley Family YMCA?
The Downtown Family YMCA opened its doors in 1964 and has since been a landmark in the Downtown Boise area. The facility has a full court basketball gym, a large cardio fitness center, multiple strength training systems and rooms, racquetball courts, a climbing wall, five fitness studios, three swimming pools, and multiple youth programming areas.
The EGYM Health Coach interacts with new and existing members to help them in achieving their health and well-being goals through our EGYM training system.
Responsibilities:

Provide an excellent and welcoming member experience by developing intentional relationships using the Y voice attributes (determined, nurturing, genuine, hopeful, and welcoming). Engage members to deepen their relationship
to the Y Cause. - Train and orient members on the EGYM training system to support them in achieving their health and wellbeing goals.
- Ensure that all appointments follow EGYM 1 Training Certification guidelines and are implemented in a safe, inclusive, and fun manner.
- Utilize biometric data and gamification techniques to motivate and engage members in achieving success.

Utilizes tools and information for the purpose of increasing member knowledge of healthy living as well as wellness
programs provided through the YMCA (handouts, schedules, etc.). - Conduct one on one appointments and/or provide member support during peak hours of operations.
- Provides up to date availability in the scheduling software for members to book appointments.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of wellness and exercise industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience in Health & Wellness, Health &Wellbeing or Personal Trainer preferred.
- Experience in customer service.
- Some sales experience preferred.
- Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
- Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
- Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others.
Schedule:
This is a part-time position averaging 3-15 hours per week. Schedule requirements are late afternoons and evenings. Staff would be scheduled to help members onboard into the EGym System, as well as help EGym users update information onto their profiles.
