The Downtown Family YMCA opened its doors in 1964 and has since been a landmark in the Downtown Boise area. The facility has a full court basketball gym, a large cardio fitness center, multiple strength training systems and rooms, racquetball courts, a climbing wall, five fitness studios, three swimming pools, and multiple youth programming areas.
The Evening / Weekend Facility Supervisor is responsible for overall supervision of the YMCA building and grounds during assigned shifts and to serve in other membership positions as assigned. Provides leadership and influence for others and fosters the Y's culture by modeling engagement principles, capturing living our cause moments, and exemplifying and promoting safe behaviors.
Responsibilities :
- Support others in handling and resolving concerns and report incidents that may occur.
- Function as a point person for other staff, coaching frontline staff on their service and engagement behaviors and habits.
- In the absence of other Department Coordinator or higher-level leadership staff, monitor programs and activities to ensure adherence to association leading practices.
- Respond to member and staff concerns, questions, and emergencies in a positive and professional manner.
- Performs and fulfills other membership positions (Welcome Center staff, Lead, Membership Specialist) job requirements, for which this position is assigned.
- Build relationship when working with YMCA members, program participants, volunteers and staff.
- Assist and educate members and guest in YMCA policies and procedures.
