Serving over 20,000 active youth, adult, and family members, the West Branch of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA helps members lead a healthier, happier life. Facility amenities and features include six fitness studios, three racquetball courts, full-court basketball gym, youth activity center, climbing wall, 50-meter swimming pool, and training pool.
The Youth Dance Instructor is responsible for creating a friendly, helpful, positive atmosphere for members participating in group classes through supervision and by developing and managing high-quality youth programs.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver dance lessons in various styles, including contemporary, hip-hop, ballet, acro, for students of different ages and skill levels.
- Create a positive and exciting classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized studio space.
- Stay current with dance trends and techniques to continually enhance your teaching skills.
- Prepare students for recitals/finale performance.
- Communicate effectively with the Youth Director.
- Follow safety, CAP, and code procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Dance/Tumbling/Gymnastic Teacher or relevant role, 3 years minimum.
- Excellent teaching and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Patient, positive, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Schedule:
This is a part time position averaging 6-12 hours weekly based on class schedule. Schedule requirements are Tuesday/Thursday, from 9:30am-11:00am and Monday through Thursday, 4:30pm-5:30pm.
