We are growing and adding a doctor to our DVM team! This means our veterinary support team needs to grow as well! We have completed our first wave of hiring and are now starting our second. This position requires a minimum of 6 months of experience, preferably 1 or more years of experience (Veterinary Assistant, Kennel, Boarding, or Dog Daycare positions do not count as Veterinary Technician experience).

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in examinations and procedures, ensuring proper animal handling and care
• Administer medications and maintain accurate records of treatments
• Communicate clearly and effectively with clients
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hospital
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals in care, reporting any concerns to the veterinary team
• Utilize veterinary terminology

Requirements:

• Must be available Monday through Friday
• Minimum of 6 months of experience, preferably 1 or more years of experience (Veterinary Assistant, Kennel, Boarding, or Dog Daycare positions do not count as Veterinary Technician experience)
• High School diploma or GED certificate
• Must have computer skills
• Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage stressful situations
• Must have the physical and mental capacity to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment
• Excellent communication skills, a sense of urgency, and working harmoniously with teammates is required
• Must be dependable, demonstrate strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
