Infant Teacher

We are seeking a nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a warm and engaging environment for infants (ages 6 weeks to 18 months), promote their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development, and ensure a safe and loving atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe, clean, and caring environment where each infant feels secure and valued
• Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote developmental milestones
• Establish consistent, caring relationships with infants and communicate effectively with parents/guardians
• Maintain daily records of feeding, sleeping, diapering, and developmental progress
• Observe and assess each child’s individual growth and needs
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to maintain a supportive team environment
• Attend staff meetings, professional development trainings, and required in-service hours

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; CDA (Child Development Associate) preferred
• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a licensed child care setting (infant care preferred)
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
• Knowledge of infant development and responsive caregiving practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Passionate about early childhood education and child development

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Frequent kneeling, bending, lifting, and sitting on the floor
• Active supervision and engagement with children at all times

Pay: $12.50 - $13.50 per hour
