About the Role
The Technical Winemaking Coordinator coordinates, supports, and drives the implementation of innovative technologies and processes across Treasury Wine Estates Americas, with a focus on enhancing wine quality, operational efficiency, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute field-level trials and projects related to winemaking innovation, operational process improvement, and new technology implementation.
- Design, monitor, and document trials ranging from production equipment pilots to enological process improvements.
- Partner with winemakers and operational leaders to identify and scope future-focused innovation initiatives.
- Translate technical innovation into clear, actionable reports and presentations for winemakers, operations teams, and senior leadership.
- Maintain engagement across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with broader production schedules and strategic goals.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer across internal departments and externally with universities, vendors, and research institutions.
- Analyze trial and innovation project data using statistical tools (Excel, R, Python preferred).
- Synthesize findings to guide decision-making, continuous improvement, and broader roll-out of innovations.
- Ensure all trials and innovation activities meet TWE’s standards for safety, bulk wine compliance and cellar operations. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of trial protocols, progress, and outcomes.
About you
- You have a master’s degree or equivalent in enology, applied chemistry major, or related field.
- You have evidence of original research work (i.e. thesis) or industry research work.
- You have cellar experience; laboratory experience is a plus.
- You have strong organizational and project management skills.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You have strong Microsoft Office computer skills. Python and/or R experience a plus.
- You have strong People Skills - teamwork, positive attitude, self-confidence, integrity, dependability, willingness to learn, collaborative, diplomatic, enthusiastic, patient, perceptive, and tactful.
- You have strong Analytical Skills - problem-solving, critical thinking, integrating, evaluating, divergent thinking, objectivity, thoroughness, accuracy, researching, reporting, and recording.
- You have a Valid driver’s license – will need to drive from winery to winery within the company. You can work regular schedule to include weekdays and some weekends during harvest.

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The hourly base pay range offered for this position is $35.00 to $40.00 other benefits. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of our Napa location. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
