Job Overview
Equipment : buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to clean floors
Strip, wax, and buff floors
Vacuum, shampoo, and extract carpets
Clean walls, dust, and clean restrooms and break rooms
Maintain floor care equipment
Follow safety procedures and guidelines
Report maintenance or repair needs
Prepare surfaces for new flooring
Install new floor materials
Ensure new flooring blends with the existing environment
Other jobs that will be performed
Window washing 2 times a week done in the AM 6am-230pm
Grounds work once a week done in the AM 6AM- 230P
Floor care will be done in the PM 4pm-1230am
40 hours a week
Qualifications:
Physical stamina
Attention to detail
Must Have a Valid driver's license
Experience with floor cleaning equipment
Experience with power equipment
Experience with carpet cleaning equipment
Experience sanitizing highly-trafficked spaces
Work settings Cleaning services, Public buildings, Long-term care centers, and Other facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing various types of flooring surfaces.
- Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure carpets are free from stains and dirt.
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas by performing custodial duties such as dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal.
- Inspect floors regularly to identify areas needing repair or special attention.
- Utilize environmental services best practices to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Operate floor care equipment safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and reporting any malfunctions.
- Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning tasks efficiently while adhering to established schedules.
Skills
- Proficient in buffing techniques and floor care methods for various surfaces.
- Experience in custodial work with a focus on commercial cleaning standards.
- Knowledge of carpet cleaning processes and equipment operation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with environmental services practices is a plus.
