QC/Safety Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality and Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment, as well as ensuring quality standards are upheld in the manufacturing process. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for implementing safety protocols, fostering a culture of safety within the organization, conducting audits, and developing and implementing quality control processes.

Duties - Quality Control

• Inspect raw materials and finished pallets to ensure they meet industry standards and customer specifications.
• Develop and implement quality control processes specific to pallet manufacturing, such as load testing and durability assessments.
• Monitor production lines to identify defects or inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, test, and quality reports for compliance and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials aligns with production needs.
• Create comprehensive SOPs for quality control processes to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.

Duties - Safety

• Conduct regular safety audits of the manufacturing facility, focusing on equipment, such as saws, nail guns, and forklifts.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols to prevent workplace injuries, such as proper handling of heavy pallets and use of personal protective equipment.
• Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and implement measures to prevent recurrences.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Provide safety training to employees, emphasizing hazard recognition and emergency response.
• Create and maintain SOPs for safety procedures to standardize practices and improve workplace safety.

Skill and Qualifications

• Familiarity with pallet manufacturing processes and materials.
• Knowledge of quality control tools and techniques, such as statistical process control (SPC).
• Understanding of workplace safety regulations, particularly those related to manufacturing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in developing and writing SOPs for quality control and safety processes.
• Certifications in quality control (e.g. ISO standards) or safety (e.g. OSHA certification) are a plus.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
